Freshman Readiness partners with schools and youth organizations to serve youth who struggle to transition from middle school to high school. It starts with a three-day intensive training, which focuses on building community and connectivity in a facilitated story sharing process. We challenge rumors, redirect negative behaviors, cement peer support for elemental “stickyness,” and more. The practice helps participants challenge and change their belief systems, transforming options for who they are and what they can accomplish as they enter high school.

The three-day intensive inspires a sense of hope for each participant, the skills to visualize future success, and tools to create a successful academic career. Students see a future they can shape with their choices and an awareness that they have support from peers and adults who can support them in their success.

Follow-up sessions are available for students with more acute needs. Reunion-like events are scheduled as well.
